I attribute a lot of my moderate skill to the time spent with World Tavern Poker. It not only allowed me to play against some very tough competition it also showed us that some players can truly be wild cards. It also helped moving up to higher buy-ins at the casinos.

I'll never forget looking up at the TV screen one afternoon and seeing one of my local fellow tavern players on ESPN in a hand with Greg Raymer.

But the best part of the entire experience is the dozens of friends I have made, some very close, and how people who might never otherwise cross paths become friends.
